Bisalloy To Showcase Its Capabilities At US Defence Expo

The Australian steel industry will be well represented at the upcoming 2017 Association of United States Army’s (AUSA) Annual Meeting and Exposition in Washington.

Bisalloy Steels Managing Director CEO, Mr Greg Albert, along with Business Manager – Armour, Mr Justin Suwart will be attending as part of the Team Defence Australia (TDA) contingent which includes a range of Australian companies involved in defence and military applications.

TDA is an initiative of the Australian Government’s Centre for Defence Industry Capability (CDIC) whose mission is to work with industry and Defence to build a world class, globally competitive Australian industry as a Fundamental Input to Defence Capability.

The AUSA event is the largest landpower exposition and professional development forum in North America and represents the ideal opportunity for Bisalloy to showcase its specialised range of Australian-made quenched and tempered armour grades steels.

The BISALLOY® name is already well known in defence applications having been used for Australia’s Collins class submarine project, Thales Australia’s revolutionary Bushmaster Infantry Mobility Vehicle and more recently the Thales Hawkei vehicle.

Even with over 25 years’ experience supplying defence grade materials to a range of markets Bisalloy sees great value in attending AUSA.

“Engaging with other companies involved in the defence industry at the exposition provides us the opportunity to gain valuable information regarding market requirements and potential opportunities, both in terms of defence grade steel products and also other specialised steel requirements,” said Greg Albert.

With an expected attendance of over 26,000 people and participants from over 50 countries the event will also provide Bisalloy with the opportunity to showcase its expertise to a global audience.
