Australia’s Bisalloy Steel Group has announced a distribution partnership for BISALLOY® Wear and BISALLOY® Structural steel products in Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone, in a move aimed at strengthening distribution across the United Arab Emirates, the Middle East and Africa.
Castolin Eutectic – a worldwide leader in application solutions for maintenance, repair and wear protection – will now offer a range of BISALLOY® quenched and tempered performance steel products, manufactured in Australia and Bisalloy’s China JV, to their many customers throughout these markets.
The move is seen as mutually beneficial for both businesses, with Bisalloy Steels gaining a globally respected ally in building their export market and brand presence in these key growth areas, while Castolin Eutectic broadens its highly regarded product offering with high strength, wear-resistant BISALLOY® steel products that are renowned for their quality.
Bisalloy Steels’ Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director, Greg Albert, believes the synergy between the two businesses will also greatly benefit their customers and will provide an excellent fit for the two companies.
“The aim of both Bisalloy Steels and Castolin Eutectic is to help customers achieve greater productivity and cost-effectiveness through high performing products, particularly in wear-facing applications,” Greg Albert said.
“The nature of our two companies is also extremely similar. Castolin Eutectic is a world leader in Wear and Fusion technologies and has been developing innovations in coating technologies for over 100 years, while Bisalloy has collaborated with leaders in science, technology and steel manufacture for almost 40 years on intensive research programs to produce innovations at the forefront of steel technology worldwide.”
The distribution partnership with Castolin Eutectic follows Bisalloy Steels’ March 2017 signing of a co-operation agreement with Swedish specialty steel manufacturer Swebor Stal Svenska AB for the sale and distribution of high performance BISALLOY® Armour steel products to the Middle Eastern civilian and defence armour markets.
Bill McDougall the Castolin Eutectic CEO for Africa & Middle East and Asia Pacific, commented that with Bisalloy’s long history and contacts in the market, Bisalloy was the ideal partner to introduce the Castolin Eutectic CDP® Weld clad wear plates, tubes and wear parts to the Australian market. Castolin Eutectic is the world’s largest global wear plate manufacturer.
“Bisalloy’s long-term business strategy is to establish strong collaborative partnerships with fellow industry leaders as we enter new markets. Our partnership with Castolin Eutectic is the latest outcome of that strategy and we look forward to many successful years ahead for both our companies and our customers,” Greg Albert concluded.
