Representatives of Brisbane-based steel manufacturing specialist, Frontline Manufacturing, recently visited the Wollongong headquarters of Bisalloy Steels to participate in a training program around the manufacture, use and processing of the BISALLOY® Armour range of grades.

The Frontline representatives included Peter Prestige (Senior Laser operator and Ops Manager), Nathan Sutton (Plant manager and 2IC), Bryn Williams (Senior Folding and bending Technician), William (Bill) Crawford (Responsible welding co coordinator) and Matthew Ellis (General Manager).

There to greet and guide them were Bisalloy employees – Dr Dake Yu (Technical and R&D Manager), Dr Willy Pang (Technical Manager – Armour) and Justin Suwart (Business Manager – Armour).

In what was a full program, the day started with a visit to the nearby BlueScope Steelworks to view the manufacturing of Bisalloy’s green feed material. The group then headed to Bisalloy’s own manufacturing facility for an opportunity to witness, at first-hand, the production of their specialised quenched and tempered steel plate.

Proceedings finished with an in-depth technical discussion and training session, conducted by Bisalloy’s Technical experts.
