The Bisalloy Steels team recently attended PACIFIC 2017, the biennial Pacific International Maritime Exposition, held in Sydney.

This internationally renowned exhibition showcases companies involved in commercial maritime and naval defence industries providing the opportunity to promote their capabilities to decision-makers from around the world.

Bisalloy attended the exhibition in conjunction with Defence NSW along with several other NSW based defence suppliers.

Speaking of their involvement in the exposition Justin Suwart, Business Manager Armour for Bisalloy Steel said, “Bisalloy has had a long and proud history of involvement in commercial maritime and naval defence industry.”

“Our BISALLOY® steel was chosen for the Collins class submarine project and we’re currently actively pursuing opportunities in a range of upcoming defence projects.”

The exposition provided Bisalloy with the opportunity to engage in discussions with a number of key influencers and decision makers involved in the Australian government’s planned $190 billion spend in the defence sector.

“PACIFIC 2017 has been extremely beneficial for us,” said Mr Suwart

“We’ve been able to have meetings with The Hon. Christopher Pyne MP (Minister for Defence Industry) and The Hon. Marise Payne MP (Minister of Defence) to discuss the range of projects that Bisalloy has been participating in including the recent supply of material for the LAND121 Phase 4 Hawkei vehicles and our strategic supply alliances with a number of global defence industry manufacturers” said Mr Suwart.

In October the Bisalloy team are travelling to Washington to attend the Association of United States Army’s (AUSA) Annual Meeting and Exposition as part of the Team Defence Australia (TDA) contingent to further promote its capabilities and expertise to a global defence audience.
