Bisalloy Developing Stronger Ties With Key Export Market

Following a successful trip to the Middle East, Justin Suwart, Business Manager – Armour, has returned to Australia with a positive outlook for Bisalloy Steels’ business opportunities in the region, particularly those in one of Australia’s key trading partner countries, Israel.

“Israel is already the largest export market for BISALLOY® Armour grade steel and following meetings with both customers and end-users we believe there are some strong opportunities to further increase sales in the region,” said Mr Suwart.

“Our products and services are well regarded and Bisalloy enjoys a strong reputation as a proactive and innovative supplier of value added performance steel products.”

Mr. Suwart added that cooperation with companies such as Israel-based Rafael Advance Defence Systems and Plasan will potentially allow Bisalloy to enter into a new line of protection products with high demand from the ADF as well from the international market.

Bisalloy’s good standing in Israel is reflective of an overall strong relationship between Australia and Israel at all levels of government, business and community.

This was evidenced recently during a visit to Israel by Australian Prime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull, to witness the signing of a defence industry cooperation memorandum. As part of his visit he also joined 7000 other Australian’s visiting the country to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Beersheba and the famous Charge of the Light Brigade.

Speaking of his time in Israel Mr Suwart said, “I can attest to the positive attitude and mutual respect between the business communities of both countries. Australian companies are seen as trustworthy and willing to enter into mutually beneficial business partnerships.”

“I was welcomed by a number of existing and potential new customers and was able to have some very positive and constructive discussions about Bisalloy’s future plans and opportunities in Israel.”
Since his return to Australia Mr Suwart has progressed a number of potential opportunities in the region and the company looks forward to successfully forming new partnerships and enhanced supply arrangements over coming months.
